Physical submission guidelines:
Text: All text for articles must be provided in one of the following formats:
- Microsoft Word - docx or doc files without photographs embedded
- Plain, unformatted text
- Cosmetic document enhancements such as font face, color and font size are irrelevant. We will use TSN standard fonts and colors for the publication of articles.
- May not contain "tables" or Excel-like spreadsheet information, use a PDF if these are essential to the presentation of the article (see below).
- Must be in electronic format only. Printed, typed or handwritten copy is never accepted.
Adobe™ PDF (Portable Document Format) articles are not accepted at this time.
All authors are responsible for the accuracy and content of their submissions. This includes, but is not limited to: website references within an article, pricing (if any), email contact information and phone numbers for various locations described in the article. Submissions are not edited for spelling, grammatical content or accuracy. These are the responsibility of the submitting author and they are reminded that their submission is more a reflection on them than on TSN.
The layout of the information should be single-column, single-spaced, straight in-line text without indentation, centering or other cosmetic formatting. TSN will format provided text into a format consistent with this website. In most cases, the only formatting we do is to breakdown long paragraphs into more "bite-sized" pieces that are expected by website visitors.
All articles must be between roughly between 150 and 600 words.
Support PDFs: PDFs are allowed, but only as support material and must be prepared by the submitter. For example: A PDF may be included with an article that details information about an event or other promotions. These will be made available to visitors as "linked files" that allow PDF files to be reviewed online by visitors separately from the article contents.
Where possible, we recommend that link(s) be provided within the article to a specific website where the support PDF may be downloaded.
Videos: We permit including one (1) video presentation as part of the article. Like PDF files, the video presentation cannot be the article itself; it can only be a support element.
Videos are included within the web page where the article appears, along with the descriptive text.
To have a video included with such articles, a YouTube™ reference to the video must be provided. We will not install a video for you or include a video file as part of this website, due to their huge sizes.
Note: When PDF and/or Videos are provided, the 150 word minimum article size is strictly enforced.
The criteria for articles continues on the next page, which describes Images and Photographs.
